During PE this year, how have you shown you are prepared and willing to participate
in a variety of activities?  On what days have you participated to your best effort and
why?  What days have been a struggle for you and why?

How do you contribute to the overall success of the class?  What kind of attitude do
you bring and why?  How do you interact with other students in our class?

Describe your participation during fitness days - have you been able to push yourself
physically?  What types of fitness activities do you enjoy the most?  What fitness
goals do you have for the rest of the year?

What does "leadership" mean to you?  Who are the best leaders in our class - why?

What improvements would you like to make in PE by the end of the year?  What are
you the most proud of so far?

Finally, what letter grade A, B, C+, C, C- (gulp) best represents the effort you just described? In Grade 10-12 we need an actual percentage as well. :(

During this year i have participated in most of the classes to the best of my effort when the activity is fun. Some times it has been a struggle because i had to take part in new activities had never done before and i lacked skill in them which made them boring.
i contribute to the overall success of this class by  putting effort into all the group activities we do. i bring a positive attitude to brighten other peoples day.  I do not interact much with the students in the class we all have a neutral relationship as they are not of my age.

on some fitness days like insanity i tried very hard getting to a heart rate of 191 however, on some dance fitness days i had trouble committing my effort to the activity.
The type of fitness activities i enjoy the most is boxing or football, the real one :)
My fitness goals for the year are improving my fitness so my boxing coach will allow me to fight .
Improvements to PE, learn more about the human body's incorporation in my fitness.
I an most proud of how skilled i have become at boxing.
The best letter grade that represents me is a B as i have put 100% effort in the activities i enjoyed however i have has the occasional absence from class.

  1. I appreciate this honest attempt and your preference for certain activities. I also understand that the way we run our PE class is probably very different from what you are used to. For me, my biggest concern is the choices you are making without seeming to understand them. I see the guy you write about above, that puts effort in and works to improve himself, but far too often it requires me to interject at the beginning. You can choose the friends you like but I am trying to help you see that choosing one person or the next in class can make or break your day. Finding those in our class (younger perhaps but not by much I would argue) who get past their self consciousness and really work hard makes you that much more confident, kind, and hard working. Hanging with those that don't want to participate (usually because they are scared), think we are all losers, and are obsessed with having others think they are tough.. that leads to you "forgetting" your strip and sitting on the side looking for reasons to quit. I think you are full of potential... I hope you decide that quitting (no matter how hard you try to convince yourself it's because we aren't worth your time) is actually the easy way out. Find a reason to be your best... and ignore those voices that would have you run away. 73% for now but you need to improve your blog and work hard at being more consistent to keep it.
